Dahmer's end
Jeffrey Dahmer was caught July 22, 1991. Tracy Edwards was the victim who got away and was the reason Dahmer was caught. Edwards was in Dahmer's apartment when Jeffrey handcuffed Edwards and threatened him with a knife. Edwards proceeded to run out of the apartment and found two police officers. They decided to check out the apartment and see what "weird guy" Edwards was talking about. When they arrived Dahmer offered to get the key to the handcuffs saying he didn't mean to scare Tracy Edwards. One of the officers proceeded to the bedroom where he found pictures of corpses, dismembered bodies, and skulls in the fridge. He yelled to his partner to cuff Dahmer and place him under arrest. The cop from the bedroom went to the fridge and opened it too find a severed head and three more in tied bags. Containers of blood were found in the fridge along with genitals of his male victims. Dahmer was taken to court and he ignored his lawyers advice and plead guilty due to insanity. Psychologists who went through his case said he needed help and treatment not prison. Dahmer was convicted of 17 murders and sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms. He was killed by an inmate November 28, 1994 at 34.
